I decided that I want to try to lose a bit of weight – not much, just 5 or 10 pounds. I am 5’4” and currently 122, I’d like to be somewhere around 115.
The problem is, I don’t have much time to work out (I work all day, and it seems that whenever I’m not at work, I don’t have enough energy to actually work out). So I decided that I would just try to be a bit more active (ride my bike to and from work–the ride back is pretty much all uphill, maybe around 1-2 miles). I’m doing a series of crunches and other ab workouts every night before I go to bed (for about 5 minutes). In addition, I’m trying to be more careful about what I eat, and I’ve been drinking 2-3 cups of green tea a day to try to boost my metabolism.
Is this way too little to actually help anything? Should I try to run too? Would running just a mile a day even do anything? Any other ideas?
Thanks so much for your help!
